As a master goldsmith, jewelry designer and an expert in restoration and conservation of metal museum objects for the last ten years Marin has focused on the use of his experience as a restorer and his craftsmanship as a goldsmith for the creation and production of new type of jewelry. In early works his interest in redesigning traditional Bulgarian jewelry is expressed in the use of geometric patterns, dark semiprecious stones and old techniques such as gold and silver filigree, open work, raised metal. Recently he is working on a series inspired by Thracian gold, using ancient images and goldsmith techniques into contemporary impressions in pure gold. His project "Ancient gold" incorporates his knowledge on Thracian and Scythian art and goldsmith techniques with his ideas for perfect adornment. For the future he plans to use his extensive knowledge on ancient metalwork techniques to develop works inspired by various culture into a jewelry with strong link between ancient and contemporary aesthetics
